What causes industrial dehumidifiers to freeze?

At the same time, this has caused some common malfunctions in use, such as freezing of the dehumidifier. How can the dehumidifier freeze? What is the reason for dehumidifier freezing?
1. More refrigerant

A large amount of refrigerant in the dehumidification mechanism can also cause the dehumidifier to freeze. Some dehumidification machines introduce refrigerant from scratch due to movement, leakage, and other reasons. When maintenance personnel add too much refrigerant due to improper operation, a portion of the refrigerant flows into the air conditioning evaporator and freezes due to volatilization. This type of ice is often connected to the back of the air conditioning evaporator and around the return pipe of the refrigeration compressor, discharging the remaining refrigerant.

2. Lack of refrigerant

After a relatively long period of application, a separated dehumidifier may experience refrigerant leakage or water leakage. After the refrigerant in the refrigeration unit is reduced, the evaporation pressure is too low, causing the evaporator to freeze. The freezing position is usually in the front part of the air conditioning evaporator. The treatment method should first solve the leakage position and top up the refrigerant.

3. The air conditioning evaporator is very dirty

After the dehumidification machine is applied for a period of time, dust in the air or microbial strains generated by the air conditioning evaporator will accumulate on the air conditioning evaporator, hindering indoor ventilation and reducing the formation of heat exchangers. The temperature of the air conditioning evaporator is low and freezes, with the direction of freezing in the rear part of the cooler. After the ice melts, tap water will be used to flush the air conditioning evaporator, and a soft brush will be used along the plate fin type brush. Be careful not to wet a part of the electrical equipment.

4. Disadvantages of refrigeration compressors

After long-term use of the dehumidifier, the output power of the refrigeration compressor decreases. Perhaps the gas distribution system of the refrigeration compressor is damaged, causing the working pressure to be too low and freezing. The freezing direction is still in the front part of the air conditioning evaporator, and some refrigerant is added in front. If common faults still persist, the air compressor must be replaced.

5. Invalid temperature controller

The air pressure of the mechanical temperature controller's temperature sensor changes with the modification of the ambient temperature, pushing the position of the temperature controller's contact point. Due to factors such as adhesion at the contact points and lack of spring elasticity, the contact points are normally open and closed, causing the dehumidification machine to continuously start and form freezing. The temperature controller needs to be replaced.

6. Low exhaust air volume

After the dehumidification machine has been used for a period of time, there are some fans with a lot of dirt stuck on the fan blades, which is harmful to the exhaust air. The evaporator is formed to freeze and remove the dirt. There are also some centrifugal fan whose rotational speed ratio is slowed down due to mechanical equipment and electrical equipment. The exhaust air volume is small, and the evaporator is formed to freeze. For equipment reasons, rolling bearings and piston pins are often damaged, friction resistance is expanded, and the rotational speed ratio is slowed down. Electrical equipment is often found to have invalid capacitor charging and discharging or short circuit between centrifugal fan, The component speed ratio is slow, so that the winding resistance of the centrifugal fan is burned out and the motor does not rotate. These frozen conditions must be adjusted or replaced according to the detailed situation.

The above explains how dehumidifiers freeze. Let's take a look at how dehumidifiers should be maintained:

1. Check if the power cord, pipeline insulation sleeve, and binding strap of the dehumidification machine are damaged or loose.

2. Check the power cord plug and socket for any power loss. Naturally, some dehumidifiers, such as the Chinese brand Hualing dehumidifier, have the function of protecting the power circuit to avoid accidents. Even so, it is still necessary to regularly check the power circuit to ensure safety.

3. Check if the cooler and air conditioning evaporator require cleaning, as excessive dust adhesion may endanger the effectiveness of the heat exchanger.

4. Check whether the breathing port and blowing inspection port of the outdoor unit of the air conditioner are blocked by any repressor, otherwise, it will not only hinder the exothermic reaction, but also make the refrigeration compressor bear too much load and reduce its service life.

5. When cleaning, it is not necessary to immediately flush the dehumidification machine with tap water. At this time, the internal structure of the distribution line may experience a moisture return short circuit fault, or an electric shock accident may occur.6. The water temperature during cleaning does not need to exceed 40 ℃, and it cannot be cleaned with highly corrosive organic solvents such as diesel.

7. Clean the dust collection network on time to avoid reducing cyclone speed, cooling, and dehumidification due to dust collection blockage. Cleaning process: Grasp the door handle of the dust collection net, drag it out, and then slowly wipe away the dust and dirt on the net. Assuming it is very dirty, it can be finely washed with cleaning solution, dried, and then loaded into the face frame.

8. Do not prick dirty objects such as sticks into the positive pressure air supply outlet and air supply outlet of the dehumidification machine to prevent damage to the parts.

9. Heat exchangers (volatile equipment and coolers) are generally used for 2 years, and it is best to maintain them once. Non flammable and explosive materials or non corrosive substances can be used to blow away the accumulated dust in the heat exchanger.10. Regularly inspect drainage pipelines to avoid wetting the natural environment due to blockage or bending.
